Posted by Robyn Hode on 17 Mar 2024 at 4:21PM That's probably Game 1 of their WC match in 1972 when Fischer took the h pawn in a drawn endgame. Here Fischer played 29...Bxh2, not fearing 30 g3 blocking the bishop's escape. { Image: i.postimg.cc/prkvC4Ft/spfis1.jpg } (#5587997) the hemmed in BISHOP!
Posted by bobby b 71 on 17 Mar 2024 at 3:41PM Not too long ago I played a mini simul. Two of the 10 were college kids! They were still rambling about the CLASSIC game against BORIS where Fischer let his BISHOP get hemmed in by three pawns. WELL? Did he, or didn't he? I asked my wife and she replied, "I cannot imagine Bobby Fischer giving anything away!" Well, I got my "answer!"

Posted by bobby b 71 on 20 Dec 2023 at 8:28AM Yes two knights MUST be watched and the knight in itself is also to be watched! NONE the less, however, I don't love Knights! I LOVE the QUEENS!!

Posted by bobby b 71 on 7 Oct 2023 at 11:58PM Trojan Chess!! WOW! Is Andrew's queen named HELEN of Troy? And those cute little dogs? I will bet my little Irish Terrrier "BIG BOY" could have run them away!! Big Boy is so FAST that he can catch a squirrel! However, the squirrel usually finds a tree to scurry up! This was an impressive display of "animal power."
