Relic Rush is a game that has many rules to it - sometimes discovering strategy might be a little difficult. I wanted to leave a few strategies that may help out those just beginning:

1. Always excavate if you can. In most cases, it will be beneficial to reveal new cards.

2. Pay attention to the Special Cards that you have. They can really turn the tide of the game if used properly. Using them immediately is not always the best move.

3. Dinosaurs can be used both offensively and defensively. Offensive use (eating/chasing another player) is really useful in the early game (so you can excavate more than your opponent(s)) or if they are carrying a relic.

4. Don't forget that you can bury direction tiles if you don't like their orientation.

5. Build dig sites in strategic areas - not just to build them. Generally, you don't want them near your starting square.

6. Generally, you want to orient direction tiles so that way they face towards your starting square (so you can quickly move back to your square when you find your relic).

7. There are two general strategies at the start - excavate as many tiles near your starting square as you can or excavate as many near your opponent's square as you can. I prefer to excavate as many near my own so I can prevent the opponent from blocking my home square with bad direction orientation - or you may find a dinosaur or your relic rather quickly.

Let me know if you have any questions! Happy digging!
