What a flurry of activity GoldToken saw this February! The entries for the news caption contest certainly kept our support staff extra busy.
Mecir 
was up to his ears with the site improvements our Platinum members helped plan. And players are starting more games each day than ever before - averaging just over 2500 a day! We will soon be coming up to the 6,000,000th game! GoldToken's last [
Guess the Date ] contest ended in October 2007 with 4,000,000 games. Time for a new contest!
Guess the correct date (the hour and minute are just for fun)....(Pacific Time only), GoldTokens 6,000,000th game will be created to win 10 Golderos!! 
- There can be more than one winner, but the shut off date for placing your vote must be made 10 days before the game is created.
- Only one guess per player. If a player chooses more than one date, the first guess will be the one counted.
- Sorry, you may only add your own name. Players who add other players names will be disqualified along with the players names they added.

The last few months at GoldToken have been a flurry of new additions that
Mecir has been very busy implementing. We'd like to send a special
for all of his hard work on a daily basis that helps keep the site running smooth.
Some of the biggest changes in just the month of February were: Auto Placement for Salvo, Game and Per-game History, Active and All-time Ratings, Multiple message deleting abilities, and Whist will now end as soon as one player wins 14 tricks.

I discovered GoldToken nine years ago, in 2000. My twin brother
Rude Misfit, was looking for a board game site, and stumbled across GoldToken. He tried it out and liked it a lot. He asked me to play him in a few games, and introduced me to a few players. Back then there were only a handful of players, maybe about 20 or so. It was a very new site, and only had a few games at first, and no variants of games. It was much less fancy ,and much slower than it is now, but for some reason we really liked it and enjoyed it a lot. Everyone was friendly, fun, polite, and easy to talk to! We got a few of our good friends involved, and they got their friends hooked too. We watched this site change and grow, The site has improved so much over the years.
When I think back to the way this site was nine years ago, it really blows my mind the way it has grown and improved so much. I never would have predicted still being a member or how great it would become. Honestly, I feel this is the best site of it's kind.

CROCHETED SQUARE SWAP as seen on
Crafters' Fair
The Crafters' Fair DB is hosting a 6 inch crocheted square swap. So far we have 7 joining in on the fun but there is alot of room for more.
Important info-
1. The squares should be made of acrylic/polyester worsted weight yarn
2. They should measure EXACTLY 6 INCHES square
3. It is a one for one swap. They send you one, you send them one.
4. It is an ongoing swap and while you may bow out at any time it would be asked that you exchange at least enough squares to make a lapghan.
5. Friends and family are welcome.
