Never thought I would live anywhere near Los Angeles!!

With nothing but miles of hardpan dirt roads and rocky hills, everything flooded in one hard hit night of rain, especially the barn!

A school teacher built this house, and added all sorts of fun features. Outside, a chiminea sits in the garden, there are two 'built in' cement benches, a bronze relief in a strange corner of the patio, and a plumbed bird bath/water feature smack in the middle of the patio.

For some reason, it's hard to believe it's winter when your trees still have leaves!

Jeff was out giving my little gelding a training lesson. The day before, Brodie took me on what can only be called a "buck" lol. Not a ride, but a buck!

Brodie had been used in SASS (a fast shooting event on horseback), and only wanted to run, as fast as he can in a short distance, and then go home lol. If he couldn't, it was buckeroo for you! Well, until Jeff took him on this ride/lesson. Been an angel ever since!

I would have ended up with a black eye for sure. Thank goodness Jeff sits up much higher!

Brodie was plotting...it was an amazing thing to watch. Jeff calmly kept a slack rein, and simply gave easy ques for Brodie to respond to, and before long, Brodie tired of the game and was fine.
