AWWW..that's so cute. I had no idea birds like cuddly toys.

I think the cuddle toys fill the need for affection for all animals, more so for animals that are highly affectionate, which parrots definitely are - (parrots are exceedingly affectionate for those who are part of the "flock" family much like cats are affectionate for their families, but not strangers). Mariah, my big Macaw, has a "cuddle" perch that she loves beyond everything. I will try and catch a photo of her cuddling and cooing to it to post here. It's very sweet to see.

Like human babies, hand raised parrot chicks prefer cuddle toys with faces most. It's must have something to do with human contact, because parrot chicks raised by their parents do not care if a cuddle toy has a face at all.

that's all very interesting! I love to watch programs about parrots and their intelligence but have never had one or been around one. Just enjoy feeding my feathered friends outside.
