Teeny Tiny

Dah Ling barely weighs a half pound, but I think she's about 4 or 5 months old. She's lost that "kitten" fluff that younger kittens have, and seems to have a maturity of an older more experienced cat. Cochise can't ruffle her feathers what so ever, as she just ignores his attempts to get her to run from him and he really freaked out when instead, she snuggled right up to him and promptly went to sleep. I am no expert on cats however. What age would you suggest she is?

She looks like she has an old soul. Smiling 4-5 months looks about right to me. Her coloring puts me in mind of my Purrcy as a kitten.

Yes, old soul is right. She must have had a very rough first few months to make her so, don't you think? How much should a 4/5 month old kitten weigh? I am thinking about four pounds...is that right?

The cat owners book states kittens between 8 & 12 weeks should weigh about 2 to 3 pounds but I have yet to find what kind of gain should be made after that.

She's at least 12 weeks for sure despite her small size. At that, she would be underweight about a pound and a half.

Check her teeth to see if she has all baby teeth, or if her adult teeth are coming in, or are all in! That's the easiest way to get an idea. Normally,
they start losing their baby teeth around 15 wks., and should have all their
adult teeth by 6 mo. for sure.

I asked at the vets office today. The techs said a 4-5 month old kitten should weigh around 4 to 5 pounds, with a female kitten being on the lower end of that.

How is she doing? Were you able to get her in to see the vet?
The vet could give you a good indication of how old she is.

I googled siamese/2 mos and they look about the size of yours - is your kitten eating solid food? is she active?? - sure is a cutie
