Jenelle & Stephene - 1997/98
Being towed down the mountain on cardboard with mom at the wheel....OK, ok, so we all know this wasn't safe, but back then, it's what we did. This picture is included in the Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things - Stevie photo album belonging to Badger. We didn't wear seat belts. We rode in the back of station wagons and pickup truck beds. We rode bikes w/o helmets or padding. Went on roller coasters w/o the safety equipment that exists today. Safety just wasn't such a concern back then. YIKES!! Does that mean we are on the "older" side?
Posted at 14 Dec 2012 at 3:48AM by Badger Re: Jenelle & Stephene - 1997/98 I'm afraid it does. LOL Posted at 14 Dec 2012 at 12:01PM by raceky Re: Jenelle & Stephene - 1997/98 That's what I was afraid of!!!!! Posted at 15 Dec 2012 at 11:17PM by Badger Re: Jenelle & Stephene - 1997/98 I don't like it any better than you do. Posted at 16 Dec 2012 at 2:31AM by raceky Re: Jenelle & Stephene - 1997/98 It seems so very unfair! Youth is wasted on the young.
Posted at 16 Dec 2012 at 2:40AM by Badger Re: Jenelle & Stephene - 1997/98 We enjoyed it when we were young. LOL Posted at 16 Dec 2012 at 3:13AM by raceky Re: Jenelle & Stephene - 1997/98 We did? Certainly not like we would now however!
Posted at 16 Dec 2012 at 3:22AM by Badger Re: Jenelle & Stephene - 1997/98 I did, anyway. I think I appreciate it more now that I did then. LOL Posted at 16 Dec 2012 at 3:23AM by raceky Re: Jenelle & Stephene - 1997/98 Good point! Posted at 16 Dec 2012 at 9:35PM by Badger Re: Jenelle & Stephene - 1997/98 I feel sorry for the kids today. They can't do a lot of the things we did when we were young and enjoy it like we did. We spent most of our days outside playing. In some cases, we had to use our imaginations. The kids today are missing that. It's a shame. Posted at 16 Dec 2012 at 10:28PM by raceky Re: Jenelle & Stephene - 1997/98 So true. You rarely see children playing outside anymore. How can that even be healthy!
Posted at 16 Dec 2012 at 11:14PM by Badger Re: Jenelle & Stephene - 1997/98 It's not. Of course the world isn't as safe as it was when I was a child.
Posted at 16 Dec 2012 at 11:39PM by raceky Re: Jenelle & Stephene - 1997/98 What I don't understand is why the mom's and dad's aren't out there playing with their kids, or watching over them as they play. This would ensure the kids get the fresh air they need to grow up healthy and strong. Isn't that what parents are supposed to do to make sure their kids stay safe? Not let them sit in front of a TV, PC or game box!!
