Re: Strong walk
Good topic for discussion! Do guns kill people, or do people kill people? If guns kill people, do spoons make people fat? I personally believe that people kill people. To date there have been no recorded incidents of a gun becoming outraged on its own and opening fire on, well, anyone. Guns may be way more dangerous than a knife or bat, but there is always going to be somebody behind the trigger. Pulling that trigger occurs when the person behind it CHOOSES to pull it. The gun didn't make the person pull it. The way I see it, guns are like fires, a great tool at hand, but when misused, can end in disaster. That's why we need take lessons on proper use, handling and responsibility of gun ownership. The current gun law proposals may keep us from buying/possessing them, but that will not ever prevent criminals from doing so on the black market.

Re: Strong walk
I see your point. Well but if there were no guns there will be no trigger to pull. No one will bee shot. As you can understand I am against violence. If you have a gun, violence can happen. Somebody can steal it and pull the trigger, maybe against you. I hope that will never happen. Be careful. Best regards.

Re: Strong walk
I too am against violence. We have to remember that before guns, there were knives, swords, arrows and other weapons used to threaten and kill. Truth is, we can't remove all the guns, as criminals would keep and reload them for their personal gain, regardless what law abiding citizens would do. The entire gun debate was summed up very accurately a few years ago with a simple bumper sticker: "OUTLAW GUNS AND ONLY OUTLAWS WILL HAVE GUNS!" Plainly put, gun control laws make crime a safer occupation when victims are unarmed.

Here's the big thing, today's real issue (at least here in the States): violent residential invasions are on the rise at an alarming rate in the States, especially in cities, and there are no other weapons that could reliably protect someone in such cases.

As one player who wrote me privately said "I sure feel a lot safer knowing that I’m in the company of armed and proven law-abiding citizens than sharing the road with millions of others driving much more lethal devices who have no comparable screening."
