Looks like Home Depot in Carson city and Heavenly mountain in the background.

I only know that from back in the late 90's to 2004 when I loved in South Lake Tahoe and drove to CC many times a week to either go to dinner in Eeno or CC, looks like that pic was taken on 395 ? Close to the 395 and 50 intersection. I miss that area.

Taken just off the intersection actually. I live up top the hill. Absolutely love the area. Thought I wouldn't, as it is Nevada, right? But turns out, it's far more beautiful than I imagined...not like the rest of Nevada at all.

Yes, it's a great area, you should head out east to Sand Mountain and you can literally swim down the mountain in the sand, it is so much fun. Didn't you guys live in twin bridges, or near there ?

Re: Full view south of the Sierra Nevada's sunrise
Yes, not too far from Twin Bridges in Somerset.

We are looking at houses out in Dayton, near the open range. Both of us have fallen in love with that little community. We were looking at Gardnerville and Minden, as it is cooler in the summer, but found the prices are higher than in California lol...well, there's a good reason due to low crime, easy summers/winters snuggled up against the very mountains in this photo etc, but Dayton is much the same however far less costly to live there...and the horsey part of Jeff and my lives find the idea of wild horses in our back yard more than invigorating.

I love that country too. I have friends who live in Paradise, and I have visited with them. They drove me up the Feather River Canyon, and we ended up in Reno for a night of fun, then back to Paradise. Lovely drive. I returned a couple of years later to ride a train from LA to Seattle, so I got a lot of views of those mountains. Eye candy all the way for 2 days. Thanks for the memories.

Paradise was named that for a very good reason!
