Red Tailed Hawk

Just happened to catch this big fellow as he swooped past us while trekking up the hill from the house...look at his massive claws!

We have a number of the Red Tailed Hawks around here, it never ceases to amaze me how they can fly through the dense woods and never hit a branch. I enjoy seeing them and hearing their distinctive call.
