Yes, sitting at the foot of the Sierra Nevadas, on the Nevada side. I suppose this image makes this area appear somewhat barren, however it is anything but. This photo was taken in the evening with long shadows, just as the sun was settling. Those hills are green with sage, pinon and wheat grass, and the tops covered in evergreens.

Waiting to see that picture. I live on 10 acres of woods surrounded by state forestry. Near the beautiful Grand Traverse Bay. I see u love nature too. We have bears, deer, racoons, wild turkeys, eagles, hawks and the list goes on. Caught on our motion night camera. I agree ea. State has it!s own beauty! Enjoyed your picture of the hawk.
