Re: My first Grandson Berkley Andrew Davis 8 lbs.
This interests me cause my birthday is September 3rd. This year I'll be 72 and being the oldest child with one brother, David and four younger first cousins, it gives me the advantage of having more memories than others. I was married and both of us wanted children, but because of heredity factors, we decided not to have children . If Glenn, my husband had lived, we could of adopted children. But he died after less than four years of marriage, as I only knew him five years. There is no need to feel bad, because he made me the "happy camper" that I am!!! Again let me tell you how blessed you are to have such a beautiful family. Take care and God bless you all.

I agree "goodby" has a finality to it that's not the way I like to think!!! When my friend, Carol who lived next door to me in Kensington , Maryland (where I'm from and was born in Washington, D.C.)When we walked home from school, we'd say goodby to each other in every language we could think of. Only now do I totally realize the importance of parting in such a way that I'll have no regrets, cause the last time I saw Carol, she would die two months later of lung cancer, and by the way her father was the head of cancer research at National Institute of Heath in Bethesda, Maryland. So another wonderful thing happen to she and I as we met when she was 12 & I was 14 at which time she was an atheist(I was saved at the age of seven) later, she told me, after her parents divorced , she told me she was an agnostic. Then later, as I'd prayed for her for 50 years to become a Christian , she contacted me while I was visiting Maryland and invited me to her home. Where she told me(this makes me get worked up emotionally) that because of me, she had accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. God could not have given me a better gift, except for my late hubby. I still thank God because now she'll be in heaven when I get there. As, I think the Bible says, No greater love than this that he lay down his life for a friend. It makes me very happy to have friends on GoldToken to pour out our thoughts to. Please forgive me for my long note, but I'm sure you love God as muss I do.
