not at all, realy tasty if done properly, my grannie made em fried in bacon grease, along with fresh eggs straight out from under the chicken, milk fresh from the tap, cooled in the root cellar, texas taters out of her garden, and if the time of year was right fried maters and gravy made from the drippins, and last but most important of all, cornbread, used for soppin and as dessert, mmmmmm dang made me hungry, I miss those days a lot!!!! and that's how I grew up!!:bull: love texas and the brazos, was kindA LIKE PARADISE!!

the Lord gave us dominion over the animals of the earth, for our use, if you believe God is vegeterarian youd best re read the bible. id say the odds of getting nothing but veggies is small to slim, however there wont be a need for food I wouldn't think!!

Either way, you can eat only veggies there if that's what you choose! ...but blessed child is correct. Child, it says there will be feasting in heaven! While we're here, though... I do prefer food the way God made it, grass fed, free range and NON-GMO!!! That stuff doesn't even taste like food!!!

AMEN!!! when I was a kid growing up there was no such thing as preservatives, salt was used mostly, the ozone layer kept the harmful rays out and cows had gas, lol seemed, to me at least, it was seriously bad at milking time, 5 a.m. but we lived off the earths bounty in the 50's, people don't have that now, sad state of affairs.

I have read the Bible everyday since I was 11 years old. We were created to be vegetarians, read the first few chapters of Genesis. It was only after the Flood that God said we could eat animals. And "dominion" does not mean destroy everything as the popular interpretation is. Remember God told us to be "stewards of the earth". That means taking care of the planet, not trashing it. Wine stewards and ship stewards do what is best for their charges, keeping wine at the right temperature, and passengers healthy & happy. That is NOT what humans are doing with the earth.

I think bookfox is right, it wasn't until after the flood that God gave mankind permission to eat animals. Either way, it's in Gods hands.

Yes, after the flood! Correct! ...and you're right, Badg, it is in His hands! We need to pray for people who ruin the earth, that they see a better way, God's way! I don't think Child meant that dominion meant to ruin God's resources. I think we can all agree that dominion doesn't mean ruin the earth. Now GMO, THAT'S ruining the earth!!!

yuck on the apples my wife just spent a week canning apple sauce and apple butter ive had my fill of apples ty ty, lol, and you are right on the flood thing id not gone that far but no I do not at all care for how this planet has been managed man has ruined this planet but it isn't a done deal it can be fixed, the problem is will we ever fix ourselves, man is heading down hill, I fear for our species, not nuclear destruction but moral, it has become almost intolerable, im all ready for the rapture and Jesus returning for His bride, the church. Amen, Amen, Child! Yes, we have our work cut out for us. It's up to us to share Jesus with as many people as we can, not just talk but help them see a better way for their whole lives. I can't wait for His return, either! ...but we gotta do all we can for the ones who still don't know him before he will return! I'm going to share with a dear friend today, appreciate your prayers for that conversation. Been helping her a long time with a move that's been very difficult for her. Precious lady, she just needs to know Jesus and her life will be perfect, per se. We do have a lot to do as His Bride before he comes lookin' for us! :D:D:D

lol id send it all if it were up to me, however my sweetie is making baskets for our nearby friends with her and my produce, she cans stuff and I have art works, scratch art, original stuff one is called crown of thorns, its awesome, but mostly of wild life, pre-inked stuff. you are correct in my prayers I constantly request to be used as He needs for what ever may be, and I am I witness for several people every month, to old now for missionary work!!

Later after the Flood, God tells Noah in Genesis 9:3 "Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things."
In Genesis 9:2 God gives animals fear of humans, just before he tells Noah that people can hunt them.
