ive several cousins in that area and they have said its terribly bad this year, ive helped put out prairie fires and its a horrible experience, forest fires are bad prairie fires are just as bad!!!God be with you!!

The Tahoe area commonly gets wildfires from lightning strikes. Its the monsoon season here. Clouds build up against the mountain ridges cooling the California side while the heat in the desert holds them back on the Nevada side, until in one big swoosh, the cooler clouds full of evaporated water from the lake flow over the mountain peaks hitting the heat, and thats the beginning of the rain, thunder and lightning on both sides. Honestly, it's not that bad this year as compared to any other year.

ive fought em in Nevada and Amarillo plus Arizona, my cousins in Nevada said it wasn't as bad as when I was there some yrs ago I had to tell him I couldn't help now, age grabbed me, lol he has the same problem but we keep them in our prayers and ask that every one remain safe!
