Each piece is wrapped in copper foil, so ALL of it is soldered.

OK, TY, I am a phone engineer so soldering copper, I have done hours of it!!...Its great no sign of temperature changes marking the copper, it is uniform, you are good at that!!!!!!!...Great idea BUT I have to ask is it a snail, or birds head just bottomish to the left??....OH and of course no damage to the glass either..great...OH health reasons please do it in a ventilated area!!....Sorry was union rep too....
