growing up in texas in the fifties we were all taught to shoot, all sorts of guns, my grandfather had a double barrel, dad used a long tom Remington 12 ga, my mom and I shared a .20 ga Remington, and sister, lol a 4.10 breech loader, was my first gun, but as you stated the first thing we learned was being safe when using holding or firing a firearm, safety always, its that old adage guns don't kill ppl, ppl kill ppl. and that is the truth. Just thought id share that, since the first pic brought back those memories. spanning a lot of years of family hunts.

That's the thing, it is all about safety. Why have a gun if you don't know how to use it, and if you don't use it, well, you won't know how to much less feel comfortable doing so lol.

that is so true, down in south texas near the border it is wise to keep and wear a gun, discourages banditos, to a degree, not knowing about guns and the safety most, I say most of us are taught from early on gives fuel to the anti gun folks, one reason this country isn't ever going to be over run by her enemies is because one out of three own and use guns!!!
