Wonderful photo- Which part of the USA was it taken in. State will do. If that's ok. It looks so typically American with the cowboy and the background. It doesn't look that snowy. Was it taken recently?

Fairly recently. We live in Pinon Hills, southern California, in the San Gabriel mountains overlooking the Mojave desert. It's a beautiful area, but the Mojave is the dirtiest desert I've ever known lol.
