New toys never last long. You want your birds to be able to chew them up, but some chew up faster than others. Soft wood, colored corn husks and jute are perfect for this sort of thing.

In the background is my favorite bird toy, the "yell" ball. Every time it is bumped, it yells a recorded phrase (that hopefully Ick learns and repeats), like "Oh, You got me!" or "Woof woof woof".
