I'm not sure what you mean by "black". The egg tooth is white. It just sloughs off after a time. Davinci's egg tooth is still attached and he will be two months old on the 13th of August.

oh, I thought the black tip was the egg tooth - my bad! (we got Peeky at 2 weeks old, so I'm a bit ignorant)
