Turning Gray

7.4.2012 - two & 1/2 weeks old. You can still see Davi's egg tooth near the end of his beak, but his skin has all but lost the translucency it once had. His feet are looking more "parrot" like and are beginning to grip "at" things too.

I've been watching your photos and I know I've missed something ... what are these little creatures/birds? They're so tiny!

Davi is a Congo African Gray. They are considered the "ugly duckling" of babies in the parrot world (all parrots are ultra homely as babies, so why grays have this title beats me lol), but are so beautiful when grown, even though they are basically a gray bird.
