Hi, everyone... where to start? Well, my name is Eric. I'm 32 years old currently. I'm working full time, and also going to school full time online. I'm going for a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Development.

My big passion, of course, is programming. I am currently trying to learn as much as possible in Java, and I am doing this by working on school projects and personal projects.

My current project is, so far, my most advanced one. For my final for my Data Structures and Algorithms class (I just finished it on Saturday, October 27), I chose to create an actual working reminder program -- one which would take one or more reminders, with one or more occurrences of each reminder, and pop up a message notifying the user at the appropriate time.

I went far beyond what was strictly necessary for the project. I taught myself how to properly save and load files, as well as how to use threads. All in all, it was a very instructive project!

My next goal is to make it GUI-based. I also have a few minor changes and upgrades I want to do. After I do this, I intend to make it available to anyone who wants to use it.
