The movie her was a blast from the future. Wow, are we in trouble! This group of people sit around a table and talk to each other as if the OS is in the room with them. Ok, they even double date (the IOS and its (do we say it or she ?) partner and the other human couple. The parts that were cool:
Tech:
Lead character plays 3-D video, which seems to take up whole living room.
Lead character places fingers on hand-held device and it's as if he pushes his email up into the room, then views it in a virtual screen
Lead character loads/opens OS on computer and the computer, after about 3 questions has him down (are humans really that simple?)

Cinematography:
gorgeous settings - skyline in city - was actually filmed in China
beautiful use of computer lights to set mood
Great part when lead character is running through the crowds, freaked out because he can't reach his girlfriend (IOS). The shot close in, moving fast with character really brings us into (carries us along with, invites us into) the emotions.

Acting:
superb - no one flubbed it up
5 POBS (pieces of bacon) for MS. Scarlett for her incredible performance of the IOS girl. She was right on.

Storyline:
amazing as is might seem, was actually plausible. Not much suspension of disbelief here, although, as someone noted on IMDB, it's hard to understand why Lead character broke up with wife.

paraphrase Great lines: scene where lead character tells little girl about his girlfriend (OS) "...This is my girlfriend, Samantha" "...Why does she live in a computer?"
