Blocking has been part of BG strategy for hundreds of years.
The one version of BG I hate is moultzim, no strategy whatsoever and reliance purely on what dice are thrown. Whoever gets good dice early in the game is almost certain to win. Oddly it's boring because it relies on blocking, but the bar isn't used.
Sounds to me like you're just a sore loser and need to grow up
