(#5721673) Pumpkin Pie Spice-and-Brandy Cocktail
Posted by hoof hearted on 6 Nov 2025 at 3:51PM
Pumpkin is one of my favorite flavors. This cocktail is so good that I make it all the time even off-season. The pumpkin syrup is really good to add to your coffee and cream too.

Pumpkin Syrup

1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
1/8 tsp. kosher salt
1 cup water

For Cocktail:

1 lemon wedge, plus 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/8 pumpkin pie spice
1 1/2 oz. brandy
3/4 oz. orange liqueur
3/4 oz. Pumpkin Syrup

Make pumpkin syrup: Combine sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and water in a small saucepan. Cook over medium- high heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture begins to boil. Reduce heat to low and whisk in pumpkin puree and salt until smooth. Cool completely, that might take about an hour.

Make cocktail: Rub edge of a glass with lemon wedge. Combine sugar and pumpkin pie spice on a small plate. Dip rim of glass in sugar mixture.

Combine brandy, orange liqueur, lemon juice, pumpkin syrup, and ice in a cocktail shaker. The shaker is important, but if you don't have one you can do it in a covered glass. Shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled, 15 to 20 seconds. Strain into prepared glass. Serve immediately. Then make another. Bubble Gum
