Posted by fatdaddy on 24 Jul 2025 at 2:36PM became an 8 night hospital visit. The two surgeries went off famously, so I'm told, but my bowels decided to take a holiday. I awoke with another Foley catheter installed. This one with a culvert sized drain compared to the previous tube sized drain. The first meal I got was a delicious Chicken Alfredo. penne pasta, a salad, a cheesecake dessert, coffee ice cream ... It was delish! In the mean time I was enjoying the oxycodone pills and hydromorphone injections. The next morning I mentioned that I expected to plug up like a cheese addict with a 5 pound block of cheddar relative to the wonderful opioids. I asked for some senna. Breakfast was delish, eggs, bacon, potatoes coffee etc. Lunch was good but I wasn't very hungry. I ate 4 bites of my burger. I finally got some senna. I couldn't eat any of my supper. I asked and my brother brought me some prunes. I'm now getting Miralax along with senna. Now I'm back in surgery having a tube stuck up my rear. The plan is to poop out the tube. Now I am being administered a laxative that could cause heart complications. If I don't poo soon I may lose my colon and be wearing a s--t bag for the rest of my life. I begin to poo. I poop out the tube. Hooray! Things progressed well and I came home Wed evening. Unfortunately still with this Foley cath. The Doctor promised that I would get it taken out Thursday (today). Unfortunately that didn't happen. I may get that done Tuesday. Meanwhile Oxycodone, recently legalized cannabinoids, naproxen sodium, acetaminophen and phenazopyridine are trying to help me to continue to survive the pain. I'm eating a therapeutic amounts of fibers (including prunes) plus using docusate and am more mobile at home. That's all for now, Jim
