was written by Eddie Cochran and Jerry Capehart and was a #8 hit for Cochran in 1958.
In 1962 it was a #30 hit for Johnny Chester.
It did not chart for the Hep Stars (with Benny Andersson (later of ABBA)) in 1965.
Blue Cheer got a #1 hit out of it in 1968.
In 1970, from their "Live at Leeds' performance it was a #8 single for the Who.
Johnny Hallyday's 1975 French version reached #1 in France.
Brian Setzer played Cochran in the film "La Bamba" and his recording was on the 1987 #1 hit soundtrack album .
It was a top 10 hit for Alan Jackson in 1994.
Rush reached #12 with their release in 2004.
