is part of the soundtrack for the film "Zorba the Greek" from 1964. The recording was composed and conducted by Mikis Theodorakis. It charted #1 in several countries' charts.
Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass called their recording "Zorba the Greek" on their 1965 album "Going Places". It reached #2 in the U.S.
It has been recorded by many others since then 7 of which charted in various countries.
