Food and Beverages was compiled not just by me, but with the help of your fellow players, who, at my prompting, gave me LOTS of ideas for that list.
Funny Headlines and Classifieds was my idea and carries with it the caveat that spelling and grammar might not be
entirely correct. That might even be what makes it funny!
US Schools and Team Nicknames was compiled by
RabidWolff of the Wolf Pack and is her contribution to our growing list of Lists! Be aware that it is very US-centric and has some obscure names, but that increases the challenge! Also, in
every case,
University was shortened to just plain
U. Don’t want to make it toooo easy now, do we?
Fifty Years of MLB Baseball Stars has All-Star and End-of-Season Award-winning Players whose names will be mostly familiar to Baseball fans and the team(s) that they are associated with. The entries will look like:
Lou Gehrig - Yankees and
Jackie Robinson - Dodgers
Anything Goes can best be described as
Multiword Phrases on Steroids. It includes the entire
Multiword Phrases list in addition to entries from many of the other lists
but also has all of the Matching Middles phrases removed.
Not listed here is the newly expanded
Matching Middles. There are multiple kinds of word-play involved and there are more entries. All of the Matching Middle phrases have been pulled from the other lists, so this is where to go if you like your phrases with a
Twist
