When I start each move I look for the possibility of making a Gami with the even numbered cards. The process is to look at opponents cards first and see if that person does not have either a 2, 4, 6, or 8. Say the opponent doesn't have an 8. Then I look for a 8 in the stock and if there is, I must have 2 8s in my hand. I then need a card below or above the eight on the board in order to take the eight from the stock into my hand to make the Gami.
