This variant allows players to change words by placing tiles over already placed tiles ( PACK to PARK, ZOO to BOOM, BILL to PILLOW, etc. ) The advantage to that is that it allows you to either fix a mistaken block of your 5X Letter Square squares, get rid of tiles without losing points, or to improve your word building potential by changing or expanding words.


It is a more flexible version that presents possibilities unavailable in the regular version.
