Relative values of the figures in Korean Chess This Nugget has been written by Dragon Jr on 6 Mar at 8:39AM Category: Xiangqi In order to see whether I'm ahead with regard to figures, or if a particular exchange of figures is to my advantage, I use the following values for the men in Korean Chess. Advisor = 1 point; Soldier = 2 points; Elephant or Horse = 3 points; Cannon = 5 points; Rook = 7 points. Clearly, it does not make sense to assign a value to the General.
