In Hearts, when there are 3 palyers, which card is eliminated?

First off I put this into WHIST, because there is no Hearts game mentioned in the drop down, and the instructions indicate if I have a q about Hearts, I should look into WHIST. WHY? I do not know, but here we are!

Secondly, when a player drops out of a 4 person Hearts game and we have to divide up the deck, normally the 2C is taken out BUT NOT HERE! Which card IS taken out? Anyone know??
