You are invited to play in GoldToken’s premier winter tournament, the 2024 Winter Olympic Games!
If interested, please join The
GoldToken's Olympics Master Club! Click the link and look for the "invitations" box on the right-hand side of your screen, then click "yes" to join. If on a mobile device, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click “yes” to join. That's all you need to do to declare your desire to play - no need to send a PM or post a message on the discussion board. Please stay in the club until the games begin.
Note: If you have joined the club in the past, you will need to re-join. The club is emptied after each Olympics has begun.
Team assignments will be made soon, and you'll be invited to join your specific team's club then. At that time, you will be able to sign up for the games you wish to play. Players can sign up for as few or as many games as they care to. The first batch of games will begin in December, exact date to be determined.

Caption Humor - Take a break with a few, just-for-fun, rib-tickling images, begging for your captions! Winners of the caption contests receive a token made especially for the board. It's always fun to read the different captions players come up with. It's even more fun to come up with a funny caption of your own. There are so many different pictures each week that either tickle your funny bone or make your eyes widen with disbelief.
Paraprosdokian Sentences - Don't let the board name fool ya! It's all about laughter
and who can come up with the best ending for a funny sentence OR a best funny ending for a serious sentence. The sentence up for vote now is: "I Swear, Officer, I Really Didn't See.." and you end it by replying to posts. The players can come up with some hilarious ones and you can see imaginations flowing! So stop on by for some fun and chuckles!

November's winner is:
Pork Chops with Apples & Onions
4 (6- to 8-oz.) bone-in pork rib chops (1 to 1 1/4 inches thick)
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 Granny Smith apples, cut into 1/2-inch-thick wedges
1 medium-size yellow onion, thinly sliced
1/3 cup chicken broth
1 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons bourbon
8 small fresh thyme sprigs
Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 450°. Sprinkle pork with salt and pepper. Cook in hot oil in a 12-inch cast-iron skillet over medium heat 5 to 6 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
2. Add apples and onion to skillet; cook, stirring occasionally, 4 to 5 minutes or until browned. Remove from skillet.
3. Add broth to skillet, and cook 1 to 2 minutes, stirring to loosen browned bits from bottom of skillet. Whisk together cream (or half n' half, or milk) and mustard; add to skillet, and cook, stirring constantly, 1 to 2 minutes or until bubbly.
4. Remove skillet from heat, and stir in bourbon. Add pork, turning to coat, and top with apples, onions, and thyme.
5. Bake at 450° for 10-15 minutes or until liquid is just beginning to bubble. Let stand in skillet 5 minutes before serving. Note: You can use apple juice, or even water if you don't have bourbon. Fresh Mushrooms are also add-in.

1. How'd you choose your name for GT?
- My nickname describes my personality...Just kidding!! Years ago I was a pit crew member of an NHRA Top Fuel Funny Car named "TIME BOMB". It was an amazing experience. The name totally fits those types of race cars.
2. What interests you most on GT? Do you have a favorite game?
- I like the variety of games offered here on GoldToken. The card games are my favorite. (unknown photo)

- Coaching my son's youth
baseball team is my main hobby.

- I'm self employed as a marine outboard technician
and work from my shop at home.
