GoldToken's Monthly News

January has been a busy month for GoldToken! to Mecir, a huge number of requested site features has been added:

• Club ladder games now include information about which club ladder they belong to
• Club wiki locking for club presidents
• Overall site lockable wikis
• All your won and completed tournaments are viewable from the Tournament link at the top of your game sheet
• Cribbage now features a scoring board
• Text you add to your game invitations is copied to the actual game as a game message
• Clubs now have an option to have the club profile displayed at the top of their club page, above the member list
• Inter-club challenges can now be accepted and rejected only by club presidents
• Club presidents can also cancel an inter-club invite, if the invited club hasn't replied to it yet
• Clubs now have the option to specify a board to which all new members will be automatically subscribed. They can still unsubscribe afterwards, if they wish
• Club invites can be personalized now from the Members page
• When starting a new game from the New Game screen, you now have an option to pick a club for which this invitation will be displayed
• Platinum members can now send invitations to join a club to up to 10 players at once
• Players who have not accessed the site for more than 30 days, not counting vacation days, are now be automatically removed from the ladders

Work like you don't need the money, Love like you have never been hurt, Dance like nobody (who can commit you) is watching, Sing like nobody is listening, but most of all, Play as though you can't lose!

Goldtoken players are always wanting to help each other through some rough times. If you know of anyone who has had a recent death of a close family member, or is recovering from an illness, please write to one of the ladies listed above, or make a request for a card to be made on the .

Reversi Queen or Beckie B can make a get well or a sympathy card by request. They will make the cards, and then contact any clubs the player may be in so their friends can sign the card. After everyone has a chance to sign it, ( about a month ) they contact the player who is receiving the card.

Crosswords

I run a discussion group that is, in reality, a communal Crossword Puzzle solving group. I create puzzles and post clues for the GoldToken Community to solve over the course of a week or more. Then I take time off to create another and when it's completed, I send out an alert to all subscribed members. Crafters' Fair

On behalf of BrnIdGirl and Gypsyfire I'd like to thank all of you who have made Crafters' Fair as successful as it is.

We are getting all kinds of great crafty ideas, suggestions, questions and solutions, not only about traditonal crafts but about ones that most of us have not heard of before. What's more, some of our contributors have discussed projects which use supplies that once was "the thing" but has since faded from prominence.

Our first tip/hint series was a primer on scrapbooking. Right now the topic is wood burning. We are hoping that more of you will join in to share some of your expertise on your favorite craft.

I found this site through the graces of my late wife. I believe she played under Ilona. We were looking for other backgammon sites and she was playing on here around 2001. I had been playing here mostly as a guest from then on and have been impressed with the steady flow of new and interesting games over the ensuing years. I am particularly impressed with the Whisk and it's variants. Now I can play some decent card games also.

Many thanks to Badger recently for my free membership to take a closer look at the site and see what it offers its members. Looking good.

I joined GoldToken as a guest in January 2003. Some players who I knew from other sites told me about this site and said it was really good. I liked it so much that within months I became a Wood Member and not long after upgraded to Silver.

I have met so many nice people here. One in particular is nylady41, she is very nice and she invited me to join my first club, which was { Club }. I soon realized that I liked GoldToken and wanted unlimited games so I became a Gold Member.

I am very pleased to also have met my husband through GoldToken in November 2003. We started using the message space to chat and things worked out for him to visit me when I was in New York. It was a long distance relationship as he lives in England. We married in September 2006 and I am now living in England and we both still play here.

I feel at home at GoldToken and all my friends feel like family. I am very proud to be a member!

I was told about GoldToken a few years ago by an old friend. I've been a member since February 03 and met some very nice people here, from places I'll never get to visit in person. There are lots of fun games here and more are added regularly. For fun, relaxing and meeting a friend at GoldToken, this is the place to be! I do believe I've become addictive to GoldToken.
