- There's still time to join! Games start July 11th
You are invited to play in GoldToken’s premier summer tournament, the 2021 Summer Olympic Games! It's a set of automated tournaments, pitting player against player and club against club.
If interested, please join The
GoldToken's Olympics Master Club! Click the link and look for the "invitations" box on the right-hand side of your screen, then click "yes" to join. If on a mobile device, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click “yes” to join. That's all you need to do to declare your desire to play - no need to send a PM or post a message on the discussion board. Please stay in the club until the games begin.
Note: If you have joined the club in the past, you will need to re-join. The club is emptied after each Olympics.
When you join the Master Club, you will be assigned to one of six teams. You will then receive a club invitation from your team's leader. At that time, you will be able to sign up for the games you wish to play. Players can sign up for as few or as many games as they care to.

Banana Split
The classic recipe.. feel free to make substitutions
Ingredients:
1 banana
1 scoop chocolate ice cream
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
1 scoop strawberry ice cream
2 tablespoons strawberry syrup
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
2 tablespoons crushed sweetened pineapple
whipping cream
maraschino cherries
Directions:
Peel then slice a banana in half lengthwise. You don't want to do this too far ahead of time or they will brown
Place one piece of the banana on each side of the banana boat dish
Place a scoop of vanilla, chocolate and then strawberry ice cream between the banana pieces
Place the crushed pineapple on top of the vanilla ice cream
Place the strawberry syrup on top of the strawberry ice cream
Place chocolate syrup on top of the chocolate ice cream
Top each ice cream scoop with whipped cream
Place three maraschino cherries on top, one in each whipped cream pile
Sprinkle with crushed peanuts, walnuts or pecans
Serve immediately

It was all "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...."
Well, it was when I lived in the next town.
I started with the dreaded 'NTL' box, that had limited internet/game/chat. A forum I had found that worked, recommended here. So that was it, HOOKED! Took a wee while to actually get a proper (paid) membership.
As for friends I met - welllllll I've been married to DEG for 15+ years, didn't technically 'meet' him here, but it did help, coz of the chat facility on the games.
Met a fair few people from here, although I think they have moved on to more PC friendly games. I still keep in touch with some of them. There's 2 in particular whose child was born on the same day as me and another friends' birthday, he got the middle name of 'ALFAY'. A mixture of both mine and hers.
I don't really join clubs, (think I'm in 3?) I definitely don't play chess, (tried and failed).
I'm working as a lollipop lady or a school crossing guard. A guy once said 'Big Al the kiddies' pal', it sounded as wrong as it does and in no way does he refer to it like that any more.
If you do look for me in Facebook, you'll find that I have a <insert colour> mohawk. Right now it's a washed out red. I used to go to gigs a lot, mostly what people would call Punk rock. Not been to 1 in over 2 years. Hopefully soon tho'.
I also 'collect' Dr Martens boots (see Facebook pix), and I do wear them at least once, before putting back in the box.

If you decide to enter the world of blogging, you should decide what kind of blog you want your blog to be. What do you want to write about? Are you going to write about many things or something specific? Decide how often you are going to add entries - every day, once a week, once a month, etc.
Once you have decided what you are going to write about, you need to think about how you are going to write it or enter it into your blog, be it by text, by pictures or even external links. A great blog will take advantage of all of the above things. Your blog story or viewpoint can be enhanced and made much more enjoyable and interesting to read by the use of pictures and links.
Write about what you are passionate about, write about what you know and make sure you know what you are writing about. For the more serious bloggers, be aware that you won't be taken very seriously if your blog is full of grammar and spelling mistakes. So make sure you spellcheck.
No matter your blog content, people will continue to come back to read it as long as you continue to make it interesting. Here is a link to

The Frog
A few years ago, I was taking an oil painting class at the teacher’s home on a summer night in June. There were six ladies there. We were just sitting around chatting waiting for the last two to get there. All of a sudden, there were terrifying screams coming from the front yard.
We all jumped a mile off our seats and ran out to see what had happened. By now we could hear shrieking, “GET THE HE** AWAY FROM ME!” and other obscenities.
When we got out to the front yard, there was no attack, no man with a ski mask, just the two late students. Amanda shouted, “OVER THERE! BEHIND THAT HIBISCUS BUSH!”
We were all afraid of who we might encounter behind that huge bush. Now she was yelling “KEEP HIM AWAY FROM ME!” followed by more obscenities.
She had seen a FROG! Unbelievable! We were ready to call the police. She was so outrageously upset. She definitely had a Frog Phobia.
When we got inside and calmed her down, she took a seat near Helen. That was a big mistake. Although Helen was a very sweet and quiet lady, she was wearing a pale green blouse with little frogs and flowers all over it.
Amanda suddenly noticed the blouse and said, “Oh My God, I can’t sit by her and all those frogs! She moved away, but after a few minutes, she got up and said, “I’m sorry, I cannot stay here another minute. I’ll see you next week”
Then her friend had to leave since she had driven them to class.
I think that was carrying a phobia to far. I hope she was able to get professional help.
