Welcome to November! We hope you enjoyed October here in Goldtoken Land, especially the advent of our new premium game Dominoes, and all it's variants! This has been an awesome month with lots of exciting changes for GoldToken. We have moved the GoldToken Store so it is easier to find in your [ Info ] pages at the bottom of your gamesheet. I wish to applaud all GoldToken players that so generously donated to The GoldToken Hurricane Victims Fund. Donations total $1490.00!!! The GoldToken club bringing in the most donations was The Parliamentarians Club with $220.00!! Congrats!! They win a GoldToken Duffle Bag with pens and prizes!! The runner up is The Wolf Pack Club, with $215 in club donations also wins a GoldToken Duffle Bag with pens and prizes!! Both club owners should send me their mailing address to claim their prizes. 100% of these donations went to The Salvation Army, who are still providing services to storm victims. Hi Everyone, { Club } is hosting the Country Craft Workshop Board during the month of November. Several of our members have put together some fun craft projects. We started Nov 1 with the Candle making class. With Christmas being so close, we have some really cute and easy Christmas craft projects for you to learn. GoldToken Support has designed a new club, The Lares & Penates Club, with the goal in mind to achieve a more efficient way to communicate with it's members. Players can now schedule an appointment to come in and talk with Management on an individual basis or as a group. Members who enter the club for discussions will be undetected by outside players for complete privacy. If you or your group are interested in a conference meeting, please send a private message to GoldToken Support with the following information:
Please note that each conference is restricted to be no longer than 3 days in total from the moment players join the room, unless prior arrangements are made by all parties involved. Individuals will have a 24 hour period to accept their invitation or they may possibly be withdrawn and the conference will carry forward with the other attending players or individual meetings will be cancelled. The Conference room is not open for things such as moderation complaints or changes to our site's policies, however we would be more than happy to take the time to explain further on our rules if players need assistance. This club may also be used by Management to ask players to come in and talk with them shall a reason arise. Since joining in october 2001 I have played many games and varients, playing over 32,500 games,meeting some nice people on this great site. I am nearing my 20,000th win now if you can guess the date and time when I will get this win, you can win too!! The player with the closest correct guess wins a GoldToken Swiss Carabiner!!
Here are a few tips on how to avoid losing at dominoes: 1. The only sure way to avoid picking up at the boneyard is to be able to go at both ends next turn. 2. If you have a lot of one number it follows that your opponent has not and will be more likely to pick up. 3. Use your highest munbers first,even if you lose it does not matter if you only have double blank left. 4. Use doubles as soon as you can, they limit your choice. 5. Try and leave both ends the same, as long as you also have that number left. 6. Fives and threes is different: It does not matter if you pick up a lot, the points are not counted at the end of the round. It is even an advantage to have a lot of bones,it is easier to make the ends add up to 15 which gives you 8 points. Last night my wife came home from work and as is usual,she picks up the mail,and she hands me a package from Goldtoken.I wasn't expecting anything,so it took me a while to figure it out that it must be something due to my renewing my membership,since I never win any tournaments. Anyways you had sent a tote bag,and of good quality and even the wife was impressed with it,and she immediatly latched onto it and now it is hers..This is something in itself as we're in our 60's and she doesn't use the Pc,has no interest in the Pc or the club,but she liked the bag and doesn't get impressed by much at this time of her life...
