September's winner is:
Buffalo Chicken and Potato Casserole
Buffalo Chicken and Potato Casserole
Ingredients
o 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
o 8 medium potatoes, cut into 1/2-inch cubes (you can leave the skin on or peel it off)
o 1/3 cup olive oil
o 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
o 1 tablespoon fresh ground pepper
o 1 tablespoon paprika
o 2 tablespoons garlic powder
o 6 tablespoons hot sauce**
Topping:
o 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
o 1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
o 1 cup sliced green onions
Sauce:
o Blue cheese/ranch dressing
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 500F (Not a typo!)
2. In a large bowl, mix together the olive oil, hot sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika.
3. Add the potatoes and toss to coat.
4. Place the potatoes in a greased baking dish.
5. When scooping the potatoes into the baking dish, leave behind any extra olive oil/hot sauce mix for your chicken.
6. Add the diced chicken to the leftover olive oil/hot sauce mix and stir to coat all the chicken. Allow the chicken to marinate as the potatoes bake.
7. Roast the potatoes for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway, until cooked through and nice and crispy on the outside.
8. Remove potatoes from the oven and lower the oven temperature to 400°F.
9. Place the raw chicken (yes, raw) on top of the potatoes and cook for 20 minutes or until the chicken is done.
10. In a large bowl, mix all the topping ingredients together.
11. Top the chicken with the topping and bake for 5-10 minutes or until topping is melted and bubbly.
12. Serve with extra hot sauce and blue cheese/ranch dressing.
This is pretty spicy, if you want it milder, use less hot sauce.

We would like to say

RubyJoy for letting us step into their personal life for a bit.
1. What brought you to GoldToken?
- There was a friend on a different turn based game site that lead me to GoldToken. He still plays here but our friendship unfortunately grew apart.
How'd you choose your name for GT?
- Originally my nickname was ArkTrek, for 2 of my favorite things... Noah's Ark and Star Trek. I wasn't thrilled with it and then chose AngelJoy, for the first poem I wrote in my adulthood combined with part of my first name. It has now become RubyJoy because the Ruby is my birthstone.
2. What interests you most on GT?
- The friendships and the fact that it is turn based so I can do a chore (unknown photo) (unknown photo) and come back!
3. Do you belong to any of the clubs?
- I belong to several clubs for different reasons.
4. What state or country do you reside in? What in your state or country do you think tourists should definitely see?
- I have lived in Ohio for the last 51 years There are so many things in Ohio that are wonderful. Cedar Point, (unknown photo) Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
, Serpents Mound, King's Island, Put-In-Bay. 
And about 10 minutes from me is the Pro Football Hall 
of Fame Village.
Do you live in the city or country?
- Interesting question. I live in Stark County and in the area I am in now, it's more country
than I'm used to. I leave my place and pass a chicken farm. Depending on which direction I'm headed, I can pass many goats, horses, even a donkey, but more cows than I ever imagined living that close to. However, I can get to most places I need to in 20-30 minutes. 
5. What hobbies do you have?
- I am fanatical about movies and do plastic canvas work. I also love to go to paint parties.
What other interests do you have?
- I love learning, board and card games, and travel.
6. Children? Grandchildren?
- Denny (aka Tom)
has 2 children. Kory lives in Cincinnati. Veronica is married with 4 children between them. I have 6 grandchildren. My sons are 21 and 15. And my daughters are 21, 20, 16, & 11. 
- I'm also a great-grandmother to 2 children, a boy who is 2 years, and a girl who is 11 months.
7. Do you work? If so, what kind of work do you do?
- I am retired-disabled but I am looking for a part-time job.
- I have degrees in accounting and CAD. I worked in retail for most of my life and my last full-time job was in digital mapping. For the last 9 years, I have worked in some way in the tax industry. I would like to move away from that and work year round.
8. Any pets?
- I grew up my whole life with dogs
, but I'm not able to take care of one. I have had cats for many years and currently 3 allow me to live with them. Spot is 9 years old and he was named after a cat on Star Trek. Then I have 2 cats that are 2 years old and brother and sister, Radar and Luna.

- Over 50 Female
9. Favorite food?
- Crab legs
10. What's the farthest you've been from home?
- Well I was born in Seattle, lived in Rapid City, SD and Huntsville, Al and now I live in NE Ohio. Explain "home".

11. If you could be anywhere right now where would that be?
- Hard choice, I appreciate where I am right now, but would love to visit friends and family all over the US.
12. Favorite season?
- It used to be summer but I have trouble tolerating the heat
like I did when I was younger. So now I love the spring, it's getting warmer and all the flowers are starting to come to life. 
13. If you could meet anyone (living or dead) in the world, who would it be?
- Well during my lifetime, I've met many "famous" people. Jerry Lewis, Gordon Jump, several NASA astronauts, and my favorite author, Debbie Macomber. I was also best friends in college with the eldest daughter of Daniel Keyes who wrote "Flowers for Algernon".
- If I had to choose someone to meet now it would have to be Lucille Ball. She was an amazing actress that entertained me during my childhood AND without whom there would never have been Star Trek.

I've been a member of Goldtoken for over 20 years, and in that time, I've made some truly wonderful friends. While I don't recall exactly how I first discovered Goldtoken, I'm so grateful that I did. The lasting friendships I've built here are remarkable; who would have thought you could forge such deep connections online? I love the variety of games available, with Rummikub and Mahjongg being particular favorites of mine. Although I’m only involved in a couple of clubs, I believe that having fewer commitments allows me to focus more on the people I meet and the games I enjoy. The friends I’ve made have certainly enriched my life and brought me a lot of happiness.

Best New Game Design
October's contest is the best
New Game Design submitted throughout the month. You can include your own graphics, opt to use graphics already available on GoldToken, or if chosen as the winning entry, possibly have your graphics designed by our professional graphic artists. All entries will be reviewed for playability, and judged by GoldToken's Graphic Arts team. The winning game will be announced in November's newsletter. Winner will receive two extra months on their current membership, or, if Guest, a two-month Silver membership, and see their new game added to GoldToken's collection of games (as long as it is feasible to code), sometime during this next year.
There are a number of steps involved in creating a new board game. A new game design can be a variation of a current game or entirely new, but it must be original and not a game found anywhere else. Start with variations of games that you love, that you loved as a child etc. Work out what makes these games fun, what’s wrong with these games, what could be better. Look at all different kinds of games from many different genres. This is the most fun part of game design. We hope you enjoy planning your entry!
