Posted by JerNYC on 25 Nov 2023 at 12:35PM He tore his Achilles. But supposedly there's a more cutting edge surgery now to repair it that allows athletes to return a lot sooner than in the past. Torn Achilles used to be an automatic career ender but you look at Kevin Durant and you wonder if it actually helped him. But KD was never much of an athlete anyway and he's never carried a lot of weight on his body so that might factor in too. Being a QB though and having to scramble and make very quick cuts sometimes, I don't know if Rodgers will have the same mobility that allowed him to do his magic on the field. I don't know if I'd want a gimpy Rodgers behind that O-line that couldn't stop a scarecrow.
