You are invited to play in GoldToken’s premier winter tournament, the 2020 Winter Olympic Games!

This is a set of automated tournaments pitting player against player and team against team. Each player chooses which game types to play.

If interested, please join The GoldToken's Olympics Master Club! Click the link and look for the "invitations" box on the right-hand side of your screen, then click "yes" to join. If on a mobile device, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click “yes” to join. That's all you need to do to declare your desire to play - no need to send a PM or post a message on the discussion board. Please stay in the club until the games begin.

Note: If you have joined the club in the past, you will need to re-join. The club is emptied after each Olympics has begun.

Team assignments will be made soon, and you'll be invited to join your specific team's club then. At that time, you will be able to sign up for the games you wish to play. Players can sign up for as few or as many games as they care to. The first batch of games will begin in December.

Anna Creek Station is the world's largest working cattle station. It is located in the Australian state of South Australia.

Anna Creek Station has an area of 23,677 km^2 (9,142 sq mi; 5,851,000 acres) which is slightly larger than Israel. It is 8,000 km^2 (2,000,000 acres; 3,100 sq mi) larger than its nearest rival, Alexandria Station in the country's Northern Territory. It is over seven times the size of the United States' biggest ranch, King Ranch in Texas, which is 3,340 km^2 (830,000 acres; 1,290 sq mi). As of 16 December 2016, the station is owned by the Williams Cattle Company, a family business that bought Anna Creek from S. Kidman & Co, doubling their total area held under pastoral leases. The nearest township is William Creek (which is surrounded by the Anna Creek station), but the nearest town for freight is Coober Pedy.

The property was originally established in 1863 but moved to its current location in 1872. It was originally used for sheep, but due to losses from dingo attacks, they switched to cattle.

The land occupying the extent of the Anna Creek Station pastoral lease was gazetted as a locality by the Government of South Australia on 26 April 2013 with the name 'Anna Creek'.

There is a main homestead at Anna Creek and an outstation at The Peake. Although the homesteads are very isolated, they have satellite telecommunications including television and internet. The Coober Pedy Oodnadatta One Day Mail Run delivers mail twice a week and can bring a small amount of freight. The Peake Ruins, including those of a former telegraph office, cemetery, mine site and lime kilns at the outstation, are listed on the South Australian Heritage Register. The Strangways Springs Telegraph Station Ruins on the station are also listed on the Heritage Register.

Once there was a large workforce of stockmen at Anna Creek, who mustered the cattle on horses. Today light aircraft are used for spotting animals which are rounded up by stockmen riding motorbikes, requiring a much smaller workforce.

Best Recipe Contest

November's winner is: Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients
2 cans of green beans (I prefer fresh about 2 lbs cut and strings taken out par cooked)
2 Cans of Campbell's Mushroom or if someone is allergic to mushrooms I use Cream of celery soup
casserole pan.
Pam spray
French's Crispy fried onions in a can
a few shakes of pepper according to taste

350 degree oven approx 190 Celsius

Directions
Put together the soup, the green beans and pepper and stir till all well blended, put it in the Pam sprayed pan, then sprinkle the top of the soup/green bean mixture. I love the fried onions so put it on heavy. bake in oven for about Bake at 350°F. for 25 minutes or until the bean mixture is hot and bubbling.

Then ENJOY!!!!

1. What brought you to GoldToken, and how'd you choose your name for GT?

• Someone told me about it. I do a craft making temari balls, so that is how I chose my name.

2. What interests you most on GT? Do you have a favorite game?

• My favorite game is Mexican train and word games.

3. What state or country do you reside in? What do you think tourists should definitely see?

• I live in South Carolina. Tourists should definitely visit in the Spring. Our trees and flowers are beautiful!

4. What hobbies do you have?

• I love doing different crafts, gardening (flowers) , reading, and bowling!

5. Children? Grandchildren?

• I have no children

6. Do you work? what kind of work do/did you do?

• I am retired. I worked in receiving and I drove a forklift.

7. Any pets?

• No pets.

• 74 years old. Lady.

9. What's the farthest you've been from home?

• I have been to London, France and Spain.

Testimonial Of The Month

I have actually been playing here since 2003. My aunt Diana introduced me to the website and taught me about clubs, tournaments, and ladders. I would be her secretary, keeping track of the clubs, game numbers, and results in a large pile of spiral notebooks we had on the bed. She also taught me about being the president of a club, how to use the codes to create playable tournaments and message boards.

Then I suffered a grand mal seizure at the register when I was a store manager in 2004. I had to be brought back to life by the emergency responders. I sustained a severe blow to the head and became a liability to the company. So, I lost my employment, got placed on disability, and had to psychologically start over again. I used to be able to do math equations by mentally visualizing the formulas. I can't do that anymore. I also used to be able to track my game moves at least 3-4 ahead of the current state of play, but I can barely see and remember what my next move should be. And when I came back to GT, after a decade and a half later, I never thought that I would have to be so attentive to choose the best defensive or offensive play.

And this is the biggest reason why I don't talk to anyone during a game. I can't do both at the same time. But I have been able to gain some friends here, via private messages. One of them lives in the midst of the West Coast fires. I check on this person every single day when I log in. I even surprised him with a membership extension, so he would have something good to look forward to when he woke up in the morning, and his stress level would diminish. Another person lives in Romania. I send a message if she has not been online for more than a couple of days. I also have a friend that I met here from British Columbia, and we even talk on the phone. I wouldn't have these awesome people in my life if GoldToken didn't exist. GoldToken is an extremely important website to me. I would rather spend my valuable here than ANY social media outlets and TV/Movie apps.
