I noticed something called Banneros on my profile. What are they?
Banneros are special virtual GoldToken coins that are only available as prizes in various contests and tournaments, or as gifts from GoldToken administrators.
Banneros work like
Golderos when purchasing banner space, but the only way to obtain them is to have administration give you some (you can't buy, share or trade them to other players), and they can only be used to purchase
Banners, nothing else (
Each Golderos or Banneros = 50 cents US each).
If a player wants to extend a banner while not having enough
Banneros,
Golderos will be used to fill the missing amount. So if someone needs 12
Golderos or
Banneros to extend their
Banners, and has 5
Banneros and 15
Golderos, it will cost them 5
Banneros and 7
Golderos. If the player has no
Banneros , only
Golderos will be used.
Banners are a wonderful way to promote your GoldToken club, federation, site contest or a special tournament to other GoldToken players. And yes, as long as it is family friendly, you can advertise your business using a GoldToken banner too! Start your own banner today!
- Please note: You can't buy, share or trade Banneros to other players. If you wish to pay for your club's banner, simply upload it as your own, and use your Banneros accordingly.

We would like to say

flyingjp for letting us step into their personal life for a bit.
1. What brought you to GoldToken?
A friend 
recommended GT to me. I used to play on a different game site, but that site limited the number of turns you could make per day. Games would take forever to play out. As a guest member on GT I didn't have that problem.
How'd you choose your name for GT?
My name on GT is an homage to a childhood memory. My foster grandfather built a small one room club house for me in our backyard. 
We named it the Flyingjp Ranch House. That little shack contained many fond memories, and I honor them with my GT name.
2. What is your favorite game here?
Xiphias and its variants is among my favorites. Reversi, chess, backgammon, domination and shake it up are also on my top list. 
3. What state do you reside in?
What in your state or country do you think tourists should definitely see?
I live in Staten Island New York. It's one of the boroughs of New York City. Everyone knows New York City and all its wonderful attractions. I would suggest that visitors to NYC might enjoy the free ferry journey over to Staten Island 
as part of their adventure. There are many beautiful museums, parks and wilderness areas to see. Staten Island has over 45 miles of scenic hiking trails. There are places here where you just can't believe you're in NYC.
4. What hobbies do you have?
I have several hobbies which include building model airplanes 
, drawing, listen to music, 
playing paintball,
reading, and studying history.
5. Children? Grandchildren?
I an single. Never married and have no children. 
6. Do you work? what kind of work do/did you do?
I am a Avocational History and Visitor Services Associate. I worked for a local cultural institution, but was recently laid off due to financial problems at that organization. Presently I'm searching for work in my field.
7. Any pets?
I have two pets. My Cat named Benny 
& a turtle named Yurtle.
8. Are you under 30?___ 30 to 50? ___ or over 50?
Male or Female?
I'm a male 
and I'll be 57 in April.
9. What's the farthest you've been from home?
The farthest I've been from home is north to Quebec and south to Miami.
10. If you could be anywhere right now where would that be?

My favorite season is fall. The color changes in the leaves always impress me.

My favorite movies are "Kelly Heroes", "Doctor Zhivago", "The Producers", "The Russians are Coming", "Viva Max!", and "Saving Private Ryan".
My favorite actor is Peter Ustinov.
My favorite song is "The Story in Your Eyes." by the Moody Blues
13. If you could meet anyone (living and dead) in the world, who would it be ?
If I could meet anyone(living and dead)in the world, it would be my two heroes. Raoul Lufberry of the Escadrille Lafayette, and Manfred Fredrick von Richthofen the legendary Red Baron

Well, I will try to do it, but consider that I write more Spanglish than English
I came to GT from IYT. There I knew a nice friend that took me here in 2002. at beginning I just played chess friendly games. Then I found many others very interesting, so upgraded to gold member and entered in some clubs.
I belong to many clubs and playing most of games. Even I was a president of some of them. I can say that I was the worst president ever!

There are many others, very nice people. That's the better thing here at GT.

I am musician. I'm teaching in a Conservatory in Spain, all theoric matters like Harmony or Composition. Before, I was a piano teacher for many years.

The Mar 2018 — USA vs. Italy Checkers match Tournament
To celebrate the USA National Checker Team touring Italy in April this year. Italy has the current World and Runner up World Champions in RESTRICTION (or 3 move) Checkers. This will be an exciting event for all CHECKER enthusiasts especially as a member who plays here will be on the USA Team.
In this tournament is
RESTRICTION (or 3 move - sounds scary it isn’t - just means the first 3 moves are already randomly played, otherwise normal checkers and you play both colours )
ITALIAN - The match is in Italy
INTERNATIONAL - 10x10 with flying kings and this is definately an INTERNATIONAL EVENT.

Bobbyb1947 says there in not much to report this month in the The
Knights of Camelot Club ! But he does have these items of interest! Camelot was THE premiere board game of the 19th. Century! On our WCF site one can see a photo of president JFK holding a Camelot box in front of him when he was just a boy. Also of note at the 1st. international Camelot tournament for Ladies the #1 board has World Chess Champion Hose Raul Capablanca! (At the request of the ladies.) Also of note was that Bobby Fischer and Lasker had played some games. None of the games of the above named gentlemen has ever been recorded! If you want to be in the fun contact
