Site tips and helpful tools

I was checking out the Icon Mania discussion board and saw mention of "saving" icons. What does that mean?

Gold and Platinum members have the option to reserve icons for their use throughout the year. GoldToken's Icon Fairy has a large database with all the icon images in it, and when you "save" an icon for later use, she marks that icon with your player nickname. Any icons you have "saved" must be used within a 1-year period or they may be put back in general circulation for other players to use. Gold members can reserve up to 7 icons and Platinum members can reserve up to 9 of them.

Best Recipe Contest

August's winner is: Chicken Bake

• Submitted by ladyvic

Not for dieters lol

Ingredients
3 Chicken breast - cooked and diced
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
sm. box spaghetti noodles, cooked and drained
sm. sour cream
1/2 cup chicken broth from chicken
1/2 stick butter ( melted )
sm bag shredded cheddar cheese
sm bag shredded mozzarella cheese
1 container of fresh mushrooms ( sliced )
Salt and Pepper

Directions
Stir in soups, sour cream and broth in big bowl
Stir in chicken, mushrooms, and noodles and salt and pepper
Pour melted butter in bottom of baking dish
Pour in contents of the bowl and spread
Top with the 2 cheeses, add as much as you like.
Cover with tin foil
Bake 425* 45 mins.

We're continuing to have some great contests and just plain fun here on the Pony Up! board. The most recent contests were Caption This with a Twist, with RabidWolff of the Wolf Pack as the winner with her caption: "Pepper just burned 2,000 calories! That's the last time she will leave brownies in the oven while she takes a nap!" Players had to put a caption on a funny picture with the twist of adding any GT player's name to the caption. You can see the picture by going to the Pony Up! board and scrolling down to the contest.
We also had some more trivia that Lew and wallywalter won. (Who knew the inventor of the Pringles can requested to be buried in his invention?)
We had Famous TV Shows to guess with pepperbeach as the winner and macBruck winning at "Who Can Tell Me?" It's a great way to win golderos or tokens and have fun at the same time. So trot on over, pull up to the hitching post and join us at the Pony Up! Hope to see you there!

We would like to say to globalroamer for letting us step into their personal life for a bit.

1. What brought you to GoldToken?

• I ran an internet café when I arrived in Australia, I spent half the day on the net, stumbled on GT via itsyourturn.

2. What interests you most on GT? Do you have a favorite game?

• Friends here, I like Senet and variants and All Aboard is the latest game I am battling with.

3. What state or country do you reside in? What do you think tourists should definitely see?

• I am in Tasmania, Australia, plenty to see, Cradle Mountain and the wilderness, Coles Bay, Port Arthur and the east and west coast.

4. What hobbies do you have?

• I love live music, a rocker at heart, other than listening I am not musical, in recent years I have combined rock with my other passion, travel, been to concerts around the world.

5. Children? Grandchildren?

6. Do you work? What kind of work do/did you do?

• I am an accountant running my own business.

7. Any pets?

• Live in an apartment that doesn't allow pets, but my partner has a dog who I happily share .

8. Are you under 30?___ 30 to 50? ___ or over 50? Male or Female?

• Male 50+

9. What's the farthest you've been from home?

• I was born in London (and still refer to it as home!) so moved as far from home as I could have really, been to 50 countries or so, over 35 American states.

• Anywhere warmer than the Tasmanian winter! love America and love visiting Japan and Europe

11. Favorite season?

• Spring/summer

• I watch very few films or TV, I love the old British comedy shows.

• Martin Luther King/Freddie Mercury

The Daily Laugh Club HAS A NEW OWNER:

Hello. I am marcmandy

Some of you may know me from playing games, others from some of the games I’ve created for the site (among them, the CrossDowns Suite, the Hangman Suite, Senet, and my current personal favorite- Diagonal Duels), and still others for some of my photography.

And many of you may not know me at all!
I’ve just taken the big step of taking over the ownership of the The Daily Laugh Club. PattyMac kept it afloat for many months after smiler5 (Marie) sadly and unexpectedly passed away earlier this year.
It didn’t help that we lost another driving force, blackangus, at about the same time. Kind of a 1-2 punch to the club. PattyMac has asked me if I would take over since she has so many other commitments and responsibilities.

After a good deal of consideration, I thought that I owed Marie for all the good she did for me with her humor, when I needed it most, as I was fought my battles with cancer in 2011 and then again in 2015.
I ended up dubbing her giggle-maker, or GM for short. When I needed a laugh, her humor was there and kept me smiling!

Like many of you I was saddened greatly when news of her passing came out. After a while, Patty asked for volunteers to help keep the club going.
People like berecca, Hillbilly, aprildawn, and Marie’s sister, cekj and myself all chipped in as we could.
Slowly, I got more involved, and last week, just before a week-long night photography workshop I would be attending in Lassen Volcanic National Park in Northern California, I told Patty I would indeed take over the club when I returned.

So here we are. I have some ideas that I’d like to try out and some organizing I will be doing slowly as the weeks go by. If you are interested in joining our club and checking it out, just drop me a line marcmandy and I will send you an invite. Hopefully, we will make this club as much fun as it’s been in the past
