When I played a couple games of the new pirate game, High Seas, I wasn't that impressed, however I now really like it. In fact, I like it so much that I've decided to modify the game by using two Playmobil pirate ships, 28mm cannons and 28mm pirate miniatures.
The boarding party is represented by a long boat and three 28mm pirate figures. The cannoneers are represented by a 28mm cannon. The musketeer is represented by a single 28mm pirate figure. Each of the five crew section's health is represented by one 28mm pirate figure, 1 for each heart. The ship's deck is removeable, that way all the game pieces can be stored when the game is not being played.
